General Data Protection Regulation Privacy Notice 2018

Under the new GDPR coming into force at the end of May 2018, we are required by law to document what personal information we keep for all clients, whether they be a one off appointment or regular clients. 

At the time of booking your appointment we will take your name and contact number. 

At your initial face to face consultation we will take your name, address and telephone number with your consent and any medical history which you feel is relevant and that may impact on the suitability of the treatments requested. 

All future clients will have a treatment record which  records all the information above plus the treatment you are receiving and the date of that treatment. These record cards are kept in a locked cupboard to which only we have access. 

We are required to keep this information for legal and insurance purposes. All information is kept for a period of 7 years from initial communication after which it will be securely destroyed unless you are still a client of Medi Aesthetics Skin Clinic. 

You do have the right to see any information we keep and you can request that any data be changed or securely destroyed. If however you do request that records be destroyed we will no longer be able to carry out any treatments for you.  

We will not use the information for anything other than to contact you regarding your appointment or to discuss matters relating to your treatments. 

We will not pass your personal information to any third party. 

We will not use your personal information for marketing purposes although we would like to publish pictures of your pre and post treatments (with your permission) no names etc. will be used. 

Any information given to us via the message service on our Facebook Page or Twitter account, is only accessible by ourselves, you may request that once we have written your details on your record card that we delete any message which contains your personal information.  

Any information you have given us via text message or email on our mobile phone is accessible only by Medi Aesthetics Skin Clinic and our phones are locked with a security code. You may request that these text messages/emails are deleted once we have written the information on your record card.
