Sculptra®

At Medi Aesthetics Skin Clinic we use Sculptra® treatment in people with healthy immune systems, a treatment regime of up to 4 injection sessions that are scheduled about 3 weeks apart for correction of loss of volume on the face, neck, hands and décolletage.   

The treatment starts to work in 2 weeks to 2 months and leads to a gradual improvement in the areas treated over months after treatment.  Sculptra® is an injectable treatment that works by stimulating the bodies own collagen to smooth out wrinkles and lines. 

Sculptra’s amazing volumising effect restores lost facial volume, resulting in a fuller younger-looking face, neck, décolletage and hands.  Clinical studies have shown that the results of Sculptra® can last more than 2 years.  During your consultation at Medi Aesthetic Skin Clinic your aesthetic practitioner will advise you on the number of sessions of sculptra treatment required.  

It is not suitable for lip treatment, use in the skin, near the eyes, is also not recommended.  Side effects of Sculptra® treatment may include injection site discomfort, redness, bruising, bleeding, itching, and swelling.  Other side effects may include small lumps under the skin that are sometimes noticeable when pressing on the treated area.  Larger lumps, some with delayed onset with or without inflammation or skin discoloration, have also been reported.  In a key clinical study the numbers of small and larger lumps were low and most resolved without treatment.  If lumps do not resolve we can treat them in our clinic.
